WhartonData Inc. ("WhartonData," "we" or "us") is based in Edison, New Jersey, USA. This notice explains how we handle information from visitors to our public website and people who contact us through our inquiry form or subsequent correspondence. Our website is intended primarily for business contacts in the United States.
This notice covers website visits and initial inquiries. Information handled in a client's systems or under a consulting engagement is addressed separately. Courses, the WhartonData Playbook, an AI platform and an applicant tracking system are planned offerings. This website does not currently provide learner or product accounts, sell digital products, receive AI prompts or uploaded documents, or accept job applications. Product-specific notices will be provided before those features collect information. This notice does not authorize collection for a future feature.
Information involved
When you visit. Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. It processes technical request information, which may include your IP address, request and routing details, browser or system information, and connection errors, to deliver, protect and maintain the service. Your browser may also send network-error reports to Cloudflare when a connection fails. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and network-error reporting explanation.
When you send an inquiry. The form asks for your email address, the type of inquiry and your message. Your name is optional. We receive what you submit so that we can respond. The form does not accept file attachments. Please avoid including passwords, account credentials or sensitive client records.
Cloudflare processes the submission and passes it to our Microsoft 365 business mailbox. Our Microsoft 365 subscription is managed through GoDaddy, which supplies related account administration and support. GoDaddy may process information in providing that service; see its privacy notice and Microsoft 365 service terms. Microsoft processes email under its business-service data protection terms. If we continue the conversation by email, we also receive the information you choose to include in your replies.
Our email service also uses GoDaddy Advanced Email Security, powered by Proofpoint, to scan messages, links and attachments for spam, phishing and other threats. The service may quarantine suspicious messages and keep security-related records. These checks can involve processing email content and technical information.
Spam and abuse checks. We use your network address to limit repeated form attempts. We also use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish people from automated submissions. Turnstile processes technical signals, including IP address and browser/connection information, to detect bots and improve its detection capabilities. See Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
How we use and share information
We use inquiry information to respond, discuss the work you request, manage that conversation and handle privacy requests. We use security checks to protect the form from spam and misuse. We do not sell inquiry information, add inquirers to newsletters or use their details for advertising.
Inquiries are currently handled by the owner of WhartonData through Microsoft 365. Cloudflare, Microsoft, GoDaddy and Proofpoint process information in their service roles described above. We have not added a CRM, newsletter service or AI tool to the inquiry workflow. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.
We do not use advertising services or tools to analyze visitors' browsing for marketing on this website. Security processing by Cloudflare is described separately above.
Cookies and website storage
We do not set advertising or visitor-analytics cookies, or save draft inquiry messages in cookies or persistent browser storage. Your browser may cache ordinary website files or provide its own autofill features. Turnstile and Cloudflare process the technical security signals and network-error reports described above.
Our website does not change its behavior in response to a browser's Do Not Track signal. We do not use advertising trackers or enable third parties to track browsing across websites for targeted advertising through our site. Cloudflare also operates security services on other websites and may receive technical information from your interactions with those sites over time. Its Turnstile Privacy Addendum describes its use of security signals to protect sites and improve bot detection; that processing is not limited to information from WhartonData. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, regardless of a browser's opt-out setting.
How long information is kept
The website does not maintain a separate database of inquiry submissions. Submissions are processed for delivery to our business mailbox. We do not intentionally include message contents, names or email addresses in application logs.
For inquiries that do not become client engagements, we delete correspondence from our active mailbox after 12 months without further contact, unless a longer period is required by law. Records relating to a client engagement are handled separately.
Deletion from the active mailbox may not immediately remove copies in provider recovery systems or any enabled backup service. Separate security quarantine copies and security records may also remain under the applicable provider settings and retention processes. The 12-month inquiry period describes our active correspondence, not those providers' separate security or recovery retention. Cloudflare's technical and security information is retained under its applicable service practices and privacy notices; the 12-month inquiry period does not describe Cloudflare's retention.
Where information is processed
We are based in the United States. Cloudflare, Microsoft, GoDaddy and Proofpoint may process information in other countries where they and their service providers operate. Their published privacy and service materials explain their processing practices.
Your questions and requests
Use the privacy request form to ask whether we hold information about you, request access to information you have provided, request a correction or request deletion. We may ask for enough information to verify that the request relates to you. We will handle requests as required by applicable law; some records may need to be kept to meet legal obligations. Depending on the law that applies, you may have additional rights, such as receiving a copy in a portable format or appealing a request decision. Tell us if you wish to appeal a response. We will explain any applicable process and will not penalize you for exercising a protected privacy right.
This website uses HTTPS to protect the connection between your browser and the site. No website, email service or method of storage can guarantee complete security. You can also use the form to report a concern about information you sent to us.
Children
This is a business-information website and is not directed to children under 13. Please do not submit children's personal information through the inquiry form. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us through the privacy request form so we can assess and address it.
Other websites and changes
Photograph credits and other external links take you to websites with their own privacy practices. Following those links is optional; our photographs are served from this website.
We will update this notice when our website or information practices change and show the revision date here. If applicable law requires additional notice or a choice before a material change, we will provide it. A later notice does not itself give permission to use previously collected information for a new purpose. Before adding other recipients or service providers, visitor analytics, newsletters, payments or learner accounts, we will review the related privacy disclosures and any choices those features require.
